Tag and organize your audio files.
Yate was developed for people who want complete control over their tagging experience. The application was designed from the ground up for Mac users. It is a 100% Cocoa written application and uses its own tagging library. Yate will tag aiff, dff, dsf, flac, m4a, m4b, mp2, mp3, mp4, ogg opus, ogg vorbus, stem.mp4 and wav audio files. Yate also supports m4v and mp4 video files.
Yate has a long list of features, including an innovative scripting system called actions. The app also supports integration with AcousticBrainz, AcousticID, Beatport, Discogs, iTunes, MusicBrainz and The Movie Database (TMDb).
Click here to check out the Yate Resources area where you can find sample actions, templates and documentation.
What’s New in Yate
- The Preferences-General-Custom Fields configurator was validating the supplied FLAC/OGG name for the APE field.
- Attempting to set an FLAC/OGG/APE Custom Field mapping to a name already mapped as an Involved People List Item would cause a crash.
- The new inline expression sequences were documented incorrectly as requiring double backslashes. The documentation has been corrected.
- Yate supports Macs running OS 10.9 or later.
